From installation company to full-service smart tech. How a lighting company redefined what ‘smart’ really means.

Firefly

Challenge

Firefly had outgrown the label on the box.

Yes, they made high-end LED systems. But what they really built was smarter infrastructure — automated, optimized, and designed for the energy realities of now.

The problem? The market didn’t see it yet.

They were still seen as a premium lighting supplier in an industry selling hardware, while the world was shifting to smart buildings, intelligent automation, and sustainability at scale.

Firefly wasn’t trying to keep up with the category.

They were trying to leave it behind.

Approach

We repositioned Firefly around what they actually deliver: performance, not just products.

No more talking watts and lumens.

Now it’s about optimization, efficiency, and impact — from day one.

The identity shifted too:

— Bold, future-facing design

— Adaptive, fluid visuals that reflect how they work

— Messaging built for decision-makers, not spec sheets

The site became a platform to sell thinking, not just tech — with LaaS (Lighting-as-a-Service) at the core.

This wasn’t just a rebrand. It was a reframing.

Brand Identity

Firefly's renewed brand identity revolves around lighting as a service. The company wants to relieve customers' worries, add intelligence and quality to their lighting, and have a positive impact on the world.

Firefly embraces innovation with a smart tech vibe. The color palette moves with light temperatures, the font radiates friendliness, and the photography places the world and people at the center, with lighting playing a supporting role.
